Hot Dogs & Rakes: Amy Sedaris On Outdoor Cooking

It's Friday and after a week of blizzards and ice storms across the country, who's with me in saying we need a little laughter around this place? Leave it to Amy Sedaris to provide us with some much needed comic relief. Check out a video after the jump as Amy teaches us how to roast hot dogs on a garden rake. We're pretty sure you'll never look at either the same way again!

Although it might not be the ideal weather to weenie roast on your favorite rake, we're pretty sure Amy's advice of, "Everything will start to get charred and burned, and that's how you know everything's ready!" is sound and solid in many kitchens.

You can check out this craft and many more in her new book Simple Times: Crafts For Poor People from her website or pick it up at Amazon.
