Homemade Gourmet Ice Popsicles

One of my favorite projects from last year was making my own ice pops in plastic tubes with my vacuum sealer — just like I had when I was a kid. I've been looking for ways to embellish on the idea and these might be just the thing!

Sweetened red bean popsicles or how about pineapple and lychee? I'll take one of each please!

Over at The Scent of Green Bananas, we ran across a few fun new flavor combinations that will serve as great inspiration for summer popsicle making. One of the most interesting things about these tasty little creations is the bags that were used to hold the ingredients. Long, slender bags that simply get twisted off and tossed in the freezer! Talk about the right tool for the job!

Some folks might not be into making their own like I did, so these are a great alternative. Keep an eye out for them at an ethnic store near you as we've yet to find an online ordering resource.
