While a hangover isn't something one tends to invite willingly, some of these international hangover cures from Portland's MIX Magazine sure do present a compelling argument! Shakshouka with poached eggs? Pasta carbonara? There are some perks to over-indulgence, we think. What's your go-to hangover cure?

Of course, a hangover isn't strictly necessary to enjoy a meal like shakshouka. This Israeli dish of spicy stewed tomatoes and poached eggs would taste good just about any time, we think.

We love that the article mentions congee, which has been one of our favorite morning-after remedies for some time. The green smoothie from Brian Heck's food truck might also need a place in our bag of tricks.
