Make Ice Cream Cones In Your Panini Press

I love for most things that come from my kitchen to be handmade, and there's no reason why our ice cream cones shouldn't be! We've been intrigued with the idea for a long time, here at The Kitchn; we featured several recipes for homemade cones, a how-to tutorial, and even a few tips from the pros. That said, I always take the path of least resistance and this case, it means making my own cones with the panini press.

Although some might not own a panini press, we're willing to bet you know someone who does! This same trick and batter would work well for waffle irons as well, but no matter what, this recipe looks simple enough for everyone to test out!

A small ball of dough is placed on the hot press and, well, pressed! The result is a soft shell that's scooped up and wrapped around a paper cone while it cools. In the end you're left with perfectly sized cones for your next party or get together. Try making them in advance and storing them in an air tight container until ready to use.
